SHIPPING ,RETURN, AND DAMAGE POLICIES

Hartford Building Products, LLC offers a 14 day return policy, which is dated from the date customer received merchandise.

Items Return from 15 days to 30 days, will be accepted with an RGA listed below, but will ONLY BE GIVEN STORE CREDIT FOR EXCHANGE FOR OTHER PRODUCTS, also will be subject to a 25% Restocking Fee.

Merchandise returned for refund with in the 14 day return period is subject to a 25% Restocking Fee. ( *Note for Cabinet Hardware from Bucksnort Restocking is 50%)

All merchandise must be returned in its ORIGINAL CONDITION in its ORIGINAL PACKAGING. It is very important that the return items arrive in new, resalable condition, in original packaging to receive credit.

To Return Merchandise, less shipping cost:

  1. No Unauthorized returns will be accepted without an RGA Number (Return Goods Authorization Number )
  2. A return authorization number (RGA#) should be obtained by Contacting Hartford Building Products, LLC. Toll-Free- 1-800-772-0314 . Hours Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time ( Ohio ) We will provide Customer with Ship to Address.
  3. Once the Customer has obtained an RGA Number, Customer must ship item(s) back within ( 3 ) Business Days.
  4. Write the RGA Number on outside of the package and a note in the inside package with a note for the Exchange OR Credit
  5. Customer MUST CALL for exchange or store credit, less shipping cost. Hartford Building Products, LLC, will provide the customer with a Code Number, which can be used for 60 Days for Store Credit.


There will be no refunds issued on products which have been subject to misuse, improper application or installation, or altered products.

**Regarding Emtek Returns, Emtek will replace warranty defective merchandise for 5 years, but will not pay shipping cost. Customer must contact us to obtain RGA number and customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
* ( Other Hardware Companies may have different warranties, inquire for specify policy )

PROCEDURES FOR DAMAGED ITEMS

It is your responsibility to note any damage or possible damage to UPS before accepting delivery.

You must Contact- Hartford Building Products, LLC. Toll-Free- 1-800-772-0314 . Hours Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time ( Ohio ) immediately.

The receiver must hold the package until the carrier picks up and inspects the damaged product.

We may ask you to help expedite the claim process by taking photos of the damaged package and product and emailing the pictures to us.

Please do not throw away any original packaging until UPS inspects it or if UPS contacts you and tells you otherwise, please get this in writing from them.

Do not assume that a Damage Item in an Undamaged Box was sent this way. Carriers have been known to completely destroy a Package, and put the Damage Items in a New Box. The Packaging on the Box is Different than ours, which can easily be proved.
