They are made for the following functions, passage, privacy, and dummy. First the passage function is made for doors that you only want to close and not lock. The privacy function is available in two styles, keyed, and non-keyed. The keyed version has an actual locking key, and the privacy version just turns to lock. The last function available is the dummy version, which is just for looks, and may be used where you want to match the look of a door beside it. All hardware is mortised, or cut into the door, and the hardware is inside the door, so that the door can be used inside the pocket opening.
